25 years Culimeta Mölln

This year the Culimeta plant in Mölln is celebrating its 25th company anniversary. A "birthday party" with an "open day" for invited guests and collaborators of the German Culimeta plants was arranged on the 09th July 2010. Furthermore, an evening event at the hotel “Waldhalle” was organised. In oder to amuse the people, a conjurer was invited who presented his mix of juggling, fire-breathing and comedy. 

At our plant in Mölln (Schleswig-Holstein) we are producing plied yarns, texturized yarns and threads as well as hybrid and sewing threads on a production area of approximately 3000 m². Our plant was established in 1985 and has been expanded continually.

New representation in India

Since September 01^st, 2009, the company Access Textiles in Mumbai is the new representative of Culimeta GmbH & Co. KG in India. Now all clients based in India have a local person to contact.

Therefore, Culimeta is in a position to provide the Indian market with the whole range of products as well as an improved customer service.

Vincent Cuylits, General Manager of Culimeta, is sure that Mr. Deepak, proprietor of Access Textiles, will realise the strategy and the interests of Culimeta in consideration of the customer requirements on the Indian market.

ISO certification for SIA "Culimeta Baltics"

Valmiera, September 2009 – The ISO 9001:2000 is an international accepted standard for the structure, the implementation and the permanent continuation of a quality management system within a company.

Beside our plants in Bersenbrück and Mölln the Culimeta plant in Latvia is now also certified according to this standard. The introduction is supposed to support a constant quality, taking the standard requirements and the demands of our customers into consideration.

The certification has been carried out by the worldwide accepted company "Bureau Veritas". It is planned to change to the updated standard ISO 9001:2008 during the recertification in 2010.

Further participation in the Techtextil fair in Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main, 18.06.2009 – The technical textile and nonwovens sector came in droves to its leading international trade fair, with numbers never before seen. "Precisely because these are times of economic uncertainty, compa-nies have been setting themselves new targets with innovative prod-ucts and areas of application – and have in part already managed to achieve them at Techtextil. Some eight percent more exhibitors and two percent more trade visitors represent a double plus for Techtextil – a fantastic outcome," summarises Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, looking back over the days of the trade fair.

Besucher aus der ganzen Welt schauten in die interessante Welt der technischen Textilien. Vom 16. bis 18. Juni wurde nicht nur versucht, neue Kundenkontakte anzubahnen, sondern auch bestehende Beziehungen zu pflegen. Mit einem 30 m² großen Stand präsentierte Culimeta sich vor Ort von seiner besten Seite.

50th anniversary of Culimeta – “a European success story“

This year Culimeta GmbH & Co. KG celebrated its 50th anniversary. What began in 1926 in Den Haag under the leadership of Henri Cuylits, his son Alfons Cuylits continued in 1958 by founding a sole proprietorship as a trading company for thermo-electric insulating sleeves and glass fibre seals in Monheim. Thus, over the past 50 years a leading high-performance corporate group, which is represented in the European Economic Area and supplies customers around the world with technical glass fibres, has developed.

Based on this success story, about 280 invited guests came to the 50th anniversary celebration of Culimeta. The deputy district chief executive Dr. Hermann Meyer and the mayor of the town of Bersenbrück, Harald Kräuter, as well as Professor Dr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, president of the European Parliament and born in Bersenbrück, expressed their congratulations with a video message. Special highlights of the evening were, among others, the ventriloquist Jörg Jará who hosted the anniversary as well as the fireworks display, which had been organised by the 220 employees as a surprise for the company management team. The band “Freesteps” with ten musicians provided musical entertainment.

Instead of personal gifts the company management asked for donations, which have been handed over to the “Bersenbrücker Tafel“, amounting to 5,200 €. in total.

Authorised representative Agnes Zindler: 40th anniversary with Culimeta

On 15th February the authorised representative Agnes Zindler looked back on 40 years of collaboration with Culimeta. In 1968 Agnes Zindler started as a trainee at the new plant in Bersenbrück. After that she became sales manager for the product range sleeves and gaskets. Mrs. Zindler told of several important milestones and experiences during her time at Culimeta; after being presented with a CCI certificate as a tribute to her work, the anniversary was celebrated at the Sporthotel in Ankum.
